We are the group that reaches the end of the year tired, not because we failed, but because we felt too much. The group that tried, however they could, held on as much as they could, fell into old patterns without realizing it, and when they did realize it, they were already berating themselves again. We want a different new year not out of ingratitude for what has passed, but out of a legitimate need to breathe differently from within. In existential psychoanalysis, it is understood that no one changes by magic or pure willpower. We change when we begin to listen to ourselves with less judgment and more curiosity. When we realize that many behaviors are not weaknesses, but old survival strategies that once worked and are now just tired. And it's okay to admit that. It's not failure, it's awareness! A different new year, in this perspective, is not about reinventing oneself entirely, it's about treating oneself with more humanity. It's about replacing the question "what's wrong with me?" with "what in me is asking for attention?". It's about accepting that growing hurts a little, is quite confusing, and rarely happens in a straight line. Anxiety doesn't disappear, but it changes its function: it ceases to be an enemy and becomes a sign that we are engaging in our own lives. In the end, we are the group that laughs at itself as if stumbling, looks around, pretends it was choreography and moves on, that recognizes its contradictions without condemning itself. The group that understands that maturing is not about fixing oneself, but about sustaining oneself. And perhaps that's what makes a year truly new: fewer grandiose promises and more honest presence with oneself, one day at a time. #privacy

Gondanmac1 Beautiful text, it makes it clear that life today is quite complicated, but it becomes a little lighter when we respect our limits and acknowledge our flaws and imperfections... in short, may our goal for next year be more respect for our limits.
