The society of exhaustion… The other day I had a nice chat with a user who was extremely “bored” because he was working remotely and couldn't rest. Even on his days off, he did everything at home: eating, grocery shopping, pharmacy trips, buying clothes and shoes, all online, even giving me head, which I find incredible – how he could handle a 25cm thick, black dildo, I find it fascinating. Nothing different here, we have free will, but as strange as it may seem to you, this is my main job, where I support myself, etc. And yes, I take days off, I work out, I have a life. However, time here is money, and that hammers in my mind with the fear of taking time off (time off is necessary to have the energy to work, not to mention mental health). What intrigues me most is that “in the past” it seemed more tiring because everything was in the present, whether it was leaving home to solve problems at the bank, or even paying credit card bills, installment payments; you worked with a formal contract, you had a boss and manager constantly on your back saying (work, work). So here we are, doing everything from home using technology, without bosses, without rushing, without demands other than our own heads hammering away (don't live, don't have fun...) very Black Mirror. Here we have freedom, of course, but the prison is our own mind.
