I first visited the area after a hike through the Minas Gerais forest region, passing through several towns, drinking good coffee, and out of nowhere, I was planning to go to Bahia, but I changed my plans at the last minute and went to southern Minas Gerais, hiking, hitchhiking, sleeping in gas stations – imagine a trip that really opened my mind! This was in 2017, I think. After a while, I moved there and then had to say goodbye to the mountains, but that feeling of "I'll be back" always lingers. These photos are just a few; I didn't go to the distant waterfalls, only to the Valley of the Butterflies. In those two days, I had just arrived from São Paulo to Santa Teresa; it was quite rushed, but the magnetism of the place is worth it. These photos are from 2023. In short, nobody asked me anything, but hitting the road is amazing, really stepping on the asphalt, feeling the wind, the uncertainty of hot sun or rain, the long 50 km walks a day, damn, it's worth it, seriously, but don't go just any way, I recommend you don't even go if it's just for the euphoria... . . . . . . . . . . . . #nice city
