The "Peak-End Rule" of Experience: Our brain evaluates experiences based on their most intense moment (the peak) and the end. An incredible experience creates such a high peak that other experiences don't reach it. Novelty and Surprise: Unique experiences that engage all five senses (sight, hearing, taste, touch, smell) create lasting memories that routine cannot compete with. In short, these experiences "spoil" others because they teach us what "maximum" quality is, making it impossible to ignore its absence in inferior situations.
