ago 6hEverything depends on the point of view. Three hours might seem like a lot; in other places, they pass without asking permission. Fifteen days away might be too short, or have a size that the calendar can't explain. There are distances that can't be measured in kilometers, silences that say more than words, and presences that change the days. Some things don't need adjusting. Essence, for example. If something needs to cease being what it is to remain, perhaps it was never truly seen. And that's something I don't want. Words sometimes arrive with more weight than they should, perhaps because they carry concerns that haven't yet learned to arrive lightly. Perhaps I am, in silence, trying to put everything in its place. Not for today. For later. There are choices made all at once and others little by little, in the details, in patience, in absence, and in the will to continue. Some stories only make sense when two people look in the same direction. Today's lesson: sometimes, two days are enough to show the magnitude of a presence.
