Ace-of-Hearts
ago 11dThey say that in a city where night fell early, there was a window that never went out before dawn. Those passing by would look up and imagine what was happening inside. Some knocked on the door, some called out loudly, some simply continued on their way. One day, a traveler stopped before that light and, instead of knocking, sat on a bench across the street and opened a book. He returned the following night, and the next. He read in a low voice, as if expecting no audience. He never asked to come in. One night, the window opened a little. Then a little more. Until someone up there asked how that story ended. He smiled and replied that he didn't know yet, because the best stories aren't finished alone. They say that, since then, that window has remained lit until dawn. Only now, nobody reads alone. 📖💕
