Yes, it's a profession like any other, and even though there is still judgment, I'm living one of the most liberating phases of my life. I had a sincere conversation with my family and even my friends and was surprised by how welcoming and respectful they were. This gave me the strength to take a bigger step: I moved to a big city with their support, in pursuit of my dreams, which was something I really needed, and the site gave me that stability when I started to really focus.
