Wearing the Angra jersey is like carrying a piece of André Matos' soul. One of the rare musicians who transformed metal into classical art. With degrees in composition and conducting from USP, he combined classical music technique with the fury of metal with a sensitivity few understood. He left us too soon, in 2019 at the age of 47, as if he had already said everything time would allow. Little recognized in life, but eternal among the greats: a maestro disguised as a rocker, who taught Brazil to listen to metal with its heart.
