This weekend I went to my cousin's wedding on a farm in the middle of nowhere. It was a Christian wedding, and I was the only one among all the guests, incredibly happy for my cousin, but also the only one who didn't adhere to Christian dogma. I had to bring some green tea, already quite drunk before going. I had smoked some of that tea beforehand, and throughout the day and the ceremony, I smoked it and drifted off into my own little world, enjoying everything and making the time pass faster. Because honestly, it's so punk to see a ceremony, the most special day for the couple, being officiated by a pastor (nothing against him, I've been to churches and other places of various religions many times in my life) who just kept trying to get attention and reminding people of their obligations to the bride and groom. Seeing all that while high on that ancestral tea made me realize that I was truly born to live an alternative life, sometimes a solitary one, but still, I was incredibly happy for the couple. The love between them was clear, and it's that feeling that they will continue to respect each other even after the wedding. I hope so. A lot. Anyway, it had been a while since I'd been to a wedding, with all the traveling, moving, invitations getting lost along the way, and the distance between us, but I managed to go. Unfortunately, I can't post the pictures here, but nobody asked me anything, I just wanted to share it. lol
