I will now tell you how I entered into the inexpressiveness that has always been my blind and secret search. How I entered what exists between number one and number two, how I saw the line of mystery and fire, and which is a surreptitious line. Between two notes of music there is a note, between two facts there is a fact, between two grains of sand no matter how close together they are there is an interval of space, there is a feeling that is between feeling – in the interstices of primordial matter there is the line of mystery and fire that is the breath of the world, and the continuous breath of the world is that which we hear and call silence.
