GRATITUDE - Gratitude is a word that has become very popular in recent years, I would even say that it has become fashionable. It has even taken the place of thank you in conversations, in my opinion becoming a banal word. What does this word really mean? Definition of Gratitude (quality of someone who is grateful, recognition of a person for someone who has done them a benefit, help, a favor, etc.). Just by the definition I realize that it is much more than a thank you like a thank you. Definition of Thank you (forced by circumstances; compelled, prescribed, imposed by law, by use, convention, obligatory, feeling indebted for a favor, a kindness; grateful). Gratitude is a noble feeling, which lives in rare hearts, full of empathy, true love and compassion. Hearts empty of egos, egocentrism, selfishness, arrogance, hypocrisy... No one should be "obliged" to do anything. A thank you is part of an obligation, a politeness, a repetition of the same old routine, it's in the coffee we order at the bakery counter... Worse than a mere "thank you" is only Ingratitude... a painful, suffering, devastating little word... Definition of Ingratitude (from the Latin "ingratitudo", it is the quality of someone who is ungrateful, it is the characteristic of someone who does not recognize the good or help they have received, someone who is ungrateful does not appreciate what another person does or did for them). May we always know the meaning of words, may we look inside ourselves and find reasons to be truly grateful every day, and may our ingratitude and ego never blind us so that we do not know the difference between the price of something and the Value of Someone.
