Late afternoon on the high seas, the speedboat slowly cutting through the water as the sun set warmly, gilding everything. The wind whipped against my body, the salt clung to my skin, laughter mingled with soft music. I knew exactly what I was doing. It wasn't distraction. It wasn't accidental.
